After the treatment, you may experience some slight redness or warmth, which typically subsides within a few hours. Visible brown spots will get slightly darker and gradually disappear in 3 weeks. Unlike with IPL treatments, brown spots will not turn super dark and flake off, but will gradually lift.

Laser is a VERY different concept than the IPL, or Intense Pulse Light treatment many patients are familiar with. Gone are the days of crisp, crusty downtime. Laser Hero has very minimal visible downtime. The days of treating aggressively with lots of heat, which can cause swelling and other unnecessary forms of downtime, are gone. Most traditional IPL treatments will char or burn the skin to get immediate results, ultimately damaging the skin unnecessarily and increasing the intensity and length of downtime.
